Exposure:
Due to ammonia presence, contact with eye
may result in irritation, redness, tearing
and blurred vision; and respiratory tract
may become irritated. Skin contact
with concentrated latex may result in irritation.
First Aid Procedures:

Wash
eyes immediately with large
amounts of water. Get medical

attention. The latex will
coagulate (solidify) in the
digestive tract. |
Material is Released or Spilled:
Flush minor spills or leaks with water.
Large spills can be coagulated with 0.3%
calcium chloride.
Precautions to Be Taken in Handling and
Storing:
Avoid inhalation of ammonia vapors. Keep
container closed
when not in use.
No special ventilation requirements unless
ammonia concentration must be controlled.

Wash exposed skin prior to
eating, drinking or smoking and
at the end of each shift. Wash
contaminated clothing prior to

The health hazards associated with this

ammonia. Ammonia may be released during
handling of the latex in an open
container. Ammonia has an extremely low
threshold odor.Therefore, the odor of
ammonia will be noticeable and may
produce discomfort. The
user must determine the employee exposure to
ammonia in his/her facility.
